Hoi An “ Love of Life” Bicycle tour.
Tour 2: Water Concerto.
Road: 15 kms, time: 7 hours.
Water does not have certain conditions. Sometimes, it looks calm and weak in a pond. Sometimes, it looks angry and strong at a beach. Or sometimes, it looks happy and pretty in a flowing river, with twinkling little waves. Wherever it is, it always reflects the surrounding life.
8 a.m, we will pick up you from your hotel to our office, near the Old Quarter, by motorcycle or by van( depends on weather). Have some soft drink or green tea.
8:30, we will start cycling to the first temple: Tiger Temple.
Take some photos and listen to the tales.
Later, we will cycle to a buddhist pagoda. It really is a peaceful place where you will begin to understand about the spiritial life of Vietnamese people. Time seems to flow more slowly here.
After the pagoda, we will cycle to Tra Que vegetable village that is famous for vegetables and flower farms. Stop on our way to discover how farmers doing on rice fields. We can also see some water buffaloes working, as well as egrets.
At the village, we will take a walk to see how farmers plant seeds, how to water them, how to fertilize them with seaweed, etc,… It is a lovely walk between different green vegetables beds.
From the village, we will cycle to the Cua Dai beach.
and spend some time enjoying the view.
Take a seat under thatch leaves roof umbrella and have a drink: coconut, coffee, beer, green tea or ginger tea, depending on the weather. From here, you can see the Cham islands, some fishing boats here and there.
After relaxing at the beach, we will cycle back to the town. We will stop at a local restaurant to sample some delicious local food. It must be a special meal. The lunch ends with local cakes called” husband and wife”.
Continue cycling to the river bank to take a boat trip. Put all bicycles on the boat and start visiting the pretty river.
You can see the impressive river mouth, big fishing nets hanging on the water, colourful fishing boats, ferries crossing rivers, and pretty aquatic palm forest.
